Richard Kahui and Marty Holah character portraits
Paul Martin - Friday, September 27, 2013
I have illustrated and donated 2 pencil illustrations for the annual NZ Harlequins breakfast. The portraits were of Richard Kahui and my friend Marty Holah. They both received a copy, a little gift for them both as Richard is off to Japan and Marty is retiring. Kevin O'Brien bought the illustration of Marty.

1992 Waikato Team Cartoon for Reunion
Paul Martin - Thursday, October 18, 2012
The Waikato Rugby union held a reunion dinner and auction for the 1992 Championship Winning Team. I was asked to illustrate the 1992 final in cartoon form, this is my interpretation. The original cartoon pencil sketch was sold at the auction and bought by Richard Loe. It was a great night to catch up with old rugby players and celebrate Waikato rugby history.
I drew this pencil caricature of, larger than life, 'Sona Taumaulolo'. It was auctioned off at the NZ Harlequin's Rugby dinner before the All Blacks Ireland Test in June. It was a successful night and the signed caricature raised $400.00. May Sona's luck continue this Saturday.

You actually make it seem really easy together with your presentation but I
to find this matter to be really something which I feel
I would by no means understand. It seems too complex and extremely huge for me.
I'm taking a look forward in your next post, I will attempt
to get the dangle of it!
Kaipaki Community Centre Reflections® Montage
Paul Martin - Wednesday, April 11, 2012
John Parker contacted me to create a Reflections® Montage of the past Kaipaki Hall history and the new development of the Kaipaki Comunity Centre. It was great to be involved in and to see the people get behind a small rural project was great. The centre opened on 6th February 2012 Waitangi, a great facility for everyone to enjoy.
The annual Cornerstone Trust luncheon was held in Te Awamutu last month. This is a great event that supports local up and coming sports stars with scholarships.
I was asked to create a caricature of guest speaker Silver Fern Laura Langman. With James McConie(From the Crow Goes Wild) as MC, we were guaranteed to have a fantastic time.
The illustration raised $500 for the trust when auctioned. Thanks to Cornerstone Trust for the opportunity. I hope 2012 brings more similar things my way.
Photo supplied by Te Awamutu Courier.
My Rugby club Hamilton Marist hosted the Shamrock rugby dinner last Wednesday 12th October. Guest speakers were Sir Colin Meads and French international Serge Betsen.
It was my privilege to draw a pencil caricature of these 2 rugby legends, Sir Colin and Serge signed these one off illustrations, they were then auctioned off for charity at the dinner. It was a great night and it was a pleasure to talk to Sir Colin and Serge. We talked about French Rugby and I reminisced about the rugby clubs I played for in France- Ceret Sportif, St Claude and Orleans. It was a great night and thanks to Mark M'Connell from Kukri who purchased the signed Serge Betsen Illustration, Kevin O'Brien purchased the signed Sir Colin Meads illustration.

A large percentage of of whatever you point out happens to be supprisingly precise and that makes me wonder the reason why I hadn't looked at this with this light previously. This piece really did turn the light on for me as far as this subject goes. Nonetheless there is actually one particular issue I am not necessarily too comfy with and while I make an effort to reconcile that with the actual core theme of your point, let me observe exactly what the rest of your subscribers have to point out.Well done.

Riverstone Design Studio goes speedway racing!
Paul Martin - Friday, October 16, 2009
Dean Brindle and his team contacted me to illustrate a Brindle Speedway Car T-shirt design.
The illustration has been created in a vector art format, producing clean crisp artwork and more flexibility in reproducing different mediums.
Dean Brindle is the current New Zealand, Waikato & Wellington Speedway Champion. Here is the design with dirt and flames flying! We wish Dean success in his upcoming competitions for 2009.
This logo cartoon was donated to the Hamilton Marist Junior Boys club 2008. It was a father and son project.
I thought it would be a great idea to donate some creative time to the Hamilton Marist Junior Boys Rugby. I thought of creating a character that the club could use for marketing and for player of the day apparel.
My Dad Graeme and I went about developing this little eagle. Graeme came up with the rough sketches and I inked the final version. Now every Hamilton Marist Junior Boys Rugby player of the day gets a t-shirt or cap with little fella on it!
